Why it matters
- Presentation within the rules: A plain site with titles, practice areas, articles and contact details; no promises of results or praise needed.
- A page for every lawyer: Each lawyer gets a profile page with title, practice areas and education.
- Advances stay out of income: Cost advances from clients are held per case as client money and stay out of invoices and VAT reports.
- Fees invoiced separately: Invoice your fee from the client card and follow the payment in the same place.
How it works
- Pick a law theme: Start with the law firm or solo lawyer theme; sample text comes in an informative tone.
- Add your team and practice areas: Enter lawyer profiles, practice areas and frequently asked questions.
- Turn on the consultation form: Requests from the form land in your company panel and your inbox.
- Keep case files in pre-accounting: Open a case on the client card, record advances, costs and refunds, and invoice your fee.
In your company panel
- Law themes: Ready themes for law firms and solo lawyers: practice areas, lawyers, articles and a consultation form.
- Lawyer profiles: A page for each lawyer with title, practice areas, education and contact details.
- Articles and FAQs: Publish legal updates and common questions as blog posts and an FAQ.
- Email on your domain: Email addresses on your firm's domain: 1 address on Starter, 5 on Professional.
- Client cards and ready services (Professional): Choose lawyer as your profession and screens speak of clients; services such as fees, hourly advice and formal notices come ready.
- Case files and cost advances (Professional): Open a case with its file number and court; record advances, court fees, notification, expert, enforcement and notary costs, and refunds.
- Cost statement and top-up request (Professional): Email the client a PDF statement of the case costs; ask for a top-up when the balance turns negative.
- Advice packages (Professional): Define hourly advice packages and deduct the hours used at each meeting.
- Consultation booking (Professional): Prospective clients pick a free day and time on your site and the request lands in your panel.
Freelance receipts (e-SMM) can't be issued in Heyşirket today; self-employed lawyers issue them through the GİB e-Archive Portal or an e-document provider. Invoices don't calculate withholding tax either; handle that with your accountant (mali müşavir).
Frequently asked questions
Does a lawyer website break the advertising ban?
Article 55 of the Turkish Attorneys Act and the Union of Turkish Bar Associations' rules ban advertising aimed at winning work but allow informative presentation. Your site can show titles, practice areas, contact details and articles; avoid praise such as "the best", won cases or success rates, client lists and promised outcomes. Check with your bar association for a final view.
Is a lawyer website paid?
The website, lawyer profiles, articles, FAQ and contact form are on the free Starter plan, with a small Heyşirket credit in the footer. Case files, cost advances and pre-accounting are in Professional: 699.99 TL/month or 6,999.90 TL/year, VAT included.
Do cost advances show up as income?
No. Cost advances are recorded as money held on the client's behalf; they stay out of invoices, collections, expenses and VAT reports and only appear as movements in the cash or bank account you choose. Your fee is invoiced separately with a normal invoice.
Can I issue a freelance receipt?
Not today. Issuing e-SMM is on our roadmap; for now you issue receipts through the GİB e-Archive Portal or your e-document provider. You can still keep clients, cases and costs in Heyşirket.
Can I show client reviews on my site?
The panel can collect reviews, but client praise may count as advertising for lawyers. On law firm sites we suggest keeping the reviews section off and checking your bar association's rules.
