Report connections: Search Console, Google Analytics 4, PageSpeed and site monitoring

A report shouldn't just say "what we did", but also "what changed". Set up the connections once, and clicks, visitors, speed and uptime appear in every report automatically.

In short

Every month Atlas Dijital told its client "your organic traffic went up", but to show the figure it took screenshots from Search Console and pasted them into the report. Once the connections were set up, these figures started arriving in every report automatically, along with the change from the previous period.

What does each source bring?
SourceWhat goes into the reportSetup
Search ConsoleOrganic clicks, impressions, click-through rate, average position, top clicked queriesAdd the reporting email as a "Restricted" user
Google Analytics 4Visitors, sessions, engagement rate, conversions, traffic sourcesAdd the reporting email as a "Viewer" and enter the property ID
PageSpeedMobile/desktop speed score, LCP, CLS, blocking timeNone
Site monitoringUptime rate, number of outages, average response timeNone (hourly checks)
DomainDays left until the domain expiresNone (except .tr domains)

Part 1 Search Console connection

Adding the reporting email to Search Console

  1. Open the project

Reports and requests › Projects and tasks › project › Report connections › Search Console. The screen shows the Heyşirket reporting email and a Copy button.

  2. Add a user in Search Console

At search.google.com/search-console, select the site, then from the bottom of the left menu choose Settings › Users and permissions › Add user.

  3. Choose the "Restricted" permission

Paste the email you copied, choose Restricted as the permission and add it.

  4. Enter the property name

For a domain property, sc-domain:example.com; for a URL-prefix property, the site's full address (https://www.example.com/). It must match the name shown in the property picker.

  5. Test it

Save and test connection. If the "Connected" badge appears, you're done.

Part 2 Google Analytics 4 connection

Adding the reporting email to GA4

  1. Open Admin

analytics.google.com › the gear icon in the bottom left (Admin).

  2. Property access management

Property access management in the "Property" column › the + in the top right › Add users.

  3. Role: Viewer

Paste the reporting email and choose Viewer as the role. You can untick the "Notify new users by email" box.

  4. Enter the property ID

The Property ID in the top right of the Admin › Property details page consists of digits only (e.g. 412345678). Enter it in the field on the project and test.

Part 3 No-setup sources and custom metrics

PageSpeed is measured separately for mobile and desktop in every report period; you can try it any time with Measure now (it takes 20–40 seconds). Site monitoring runs once an hour and, if it detects a problem, checks again 15 minutes later; the status of the last 30 days appears on the project as a coloured strip.

For any indicator without a connection, add a Custom metric on the project: backlink count, Instagram followers, ad spend, form submissions… You enter the value manually each period; the report calculates the change from the previous period automatically.

Can Heyşirket make changes to my site?

No. The "Restricted" permission in Search Console and the "Viewer" role in GA4 allow reading only.

How do I remove the connection?

Just delete the reporting email from the users in Search Console or GA4. If you clear the property field on the project, no data is fetched.

Why is Search Console data missing for the last few days?

Google publishes Search Console data with a 2–3 day delay. Having the report draft prepared a few days after the period ends, or updating it with Refresh data, closes this gap.
