What should an accounting firm's website look like? Pages and advertising limits for Turkish certified accountants

When choosing a mali müşavir (certified accountant), a business looks first for trust and order. This article describes an informative firm website that respects professional rules and makes working with clients easier.

In short

Someone starting a company usually finds their mali müşavir through a recommendation. Then they search the name and look at the firm's website. Who works there, which services are offered, where is the office, how do I get in touch? If there is no site, or it hasn't been updated for years, that first impression weakens.

A mali müşavir website is about trust and order, not show. But professional rules also draw the limits of promotion. This article covers which pages an accounting firm website needs, what the advertising rules restrict, how the site makes working with clients easier and how to open such a site in Heyşirket.

Part 1 · Purpose What is an accounting firm's website for?

The site has three jobs. Showing someone who heard about you by recommendation that your firm is real and well run. Giving your current clients announcements, the tax calendar and document lists at one address. And turning incoming questions into an orderly request list instead of phone calls.

For an accounting firm site, the measure is not "how many visited" but "did visitors find the right information". If a client can find the document they need, the next filing date or the office address within a minute, the site is doing its job. We cover what people look for when choosing an accountant in how to choose a mali müşavir.

Part 2 · Pages Which pages should an accounting firm website have?

Core pages of an accounting firm site
PageWhat goes on itWatch out
HomeFirm name, short intro, service headings, contactNo slogans or superiority claims
AboutFounding, firm structure, working principlesPlain and accurate
TeamName, title (SMMM, YMM), chamber and registration details, educationTitles exactly as certified
ServicesBookkeeping, tax returns, payroll, company formation, advisoryWhat is done and who it suits
Announcements and articlesTax calendar reminders, regulatory changesState source and date
Document listWhich documents clients send each month and whenThe most useful page for clients
ContactAddress, map, phone, email, opening hoursArrangements during filing periods
KVKK privacy notice and cookie policyWhich data forms collect and why (KVKK is Türkiye's data protection law)Linked in the footer

Part 3 · Rules Where is the advertising limit on an accountant's website?

For certified public accountants (SMMM) and sworn-in certified accountants (YMM) in Türkiye, professional rules prohibit advertising to win work and unfair competition between colleagues. That doesn't mean you can't have a site; it means the site must be written in informative language. The most common mistakes in practice:

Don't write / write this instead
Don't writeWhyInstead
"The best accountant in town", "industry leader"Superiority claimDescribe your firm and services neutrally
"Best price", "first month free", discountsWinning work through price, unfair competition"Contact us for a quote"
Client logos, reference listsClient information used for promotionName the sectors you serve in general terms
Client reviews and ratingsStatements used for promotionDon't use a reviews section
Promises such as "we save you from tax penalties"Promise of results, may misleadExplain which processes you support

The accounting firm theme also has service packages and comparison table sections. Use them to explain which services each package includes, not for a price race. Before showing fees, check the profession's fee schedule and your chamber's rules. The content analysis in the company panel flags phrases such as "en iyi" (the best), "ucuz" (cheap), "indirim" (discount), "ücretsiz" (free) and "lider" (leader).

Part 4 · Clients How does the site make working with clients easier?

A firm website is not just for promotion. The announcements and articles section tells your clients about filing dates and regulatory changes from one address. The document list page makes each month's work clear. And the contact form turns incoming questions into an orderly request list.

Keep announcements short and sourced. Example: if you announce that a filing date has changed, state which return it is, the old and new dates and the Official Gazette or tax authority (GİB) announcement it is based on. Add the current status at the top of old announcements; a post left with the wrong date misleads clients. We explain how to follow the tax calendar in how the tax calendar works.

The real gain, though, is in collecting documents. If your clients use Heyşirket pre-accounting, documents can reach you automatically. You don't need a Heyşirket account for this.

How does the monthly document package work?

  1. The client adds you

In pre-accounting your client enters your name and email on the Ayarlar › Mali müşavirim (Settings › My accountant) screen. Since pre-accounting is in Professional and above, the client's plan must be at least Professional.

  2. A day is chosen

The client picks a day between the 1st and 28th of the month. On that day the package is prepared with the previous month's documents.

  3. A link reaches you

A secure link arrives in your inbox. It holds Excel-compatible lists of sales invoices, incoming invoices and expenses, the document PDFs, an estimated VAT summary and a customer reconciliation list. The link is valid for 30 days.

  4. Role invitation if needed

If you also want to work in the records, your client adds you as a user with the Accountant role; settings and users are closed to this role.

The detailed guide is in working with your mali müşavir. There is also a programme for accountants who recommend Heyşirket to their clients; the terms are on the accountant programme page.

Part 5 · Setup How do you build an accounting firm website in Heyşirket?

In Heyşirket every company has one company panel and the website is one of its modules. The Bilanço theme for certified accountants, accounting firms and tax advisers comes in corporate navy and green with services, packages, a comparison table and a quote form.

A firm website in five steps

  1. Open your company panel

Start for free and choose Bilanço from the accounting and consulting themes.

  2. Introduce the team

With Ekip profilleri (Team profiles), open a page for each member with title, chamber and registration details, education and contact. This feature is also on the Starter plan.

  3. Write your services

For each service, describe in plain language what is done and who it suits; don't write prices or superiority claims.

  4. Document list and announcements

Open the document list page and publish tax calendar reminders as blog posts. If the theme has a reviews section, remove it.

  5. Domain and email

Connect the firm's domain and open an address such as info@ or documents@. Details: business email.

Step-by-step guide in the panel: Help › Adding pages and posts. Everything that comes ready for accountants is on the Heyşirket for accounting firms page.

Part 6 · Running the firm The firm's own invoices: client accounts and monthly services

You can also issue your firm's own invoices in the same company panel. In Professional and above, pre-accounting is included with no separate subscription. When you choose mali müşavir as your profession, screens say Mükellef (taxpayer client) instead of "customer" and the default unit is the month. Ready-made items such as monthly accounting service, tax return preparation, company formation and per-person payroll service are added in one tap.
