Physiotherapy website: a page-by-page guide for physiotherapists and physical therapy clinics
Someone coming to physiotherapy usually decides on a programme lasting weeks, not a single session. Your site should explain the process, the team and how booking works. This article shows how to do that within the rules for promoting health services.
In short
- A physiotherapy website should have method pages (such as manual therapy, clinical Pilates and exercise programmes), the first assessment and session process, physiotherapist profiles, frequently asked questions, contact details and legal pages.
- Physiotherapy is a health service; promising results, words like "painless", "permanent cure" or "guaranteed", prices and campaigns, before-and-after images and patient reviews are not used for promotion.
- Texts on the site shouldn't give the impression of making a diagnosis; state clearly, according to your clinic's situation, when a doctor's referral is needed.
- In Heyşirket, a physiotherapy site, treatment pages and team profiles are on the free Starter plan; online booking with date and time selection and session package tracking are in the Professional plan.
- The appointment tracking system, which plans session series, moves sessions that fall on holidays to the end and offers a calendar with a column per therapist, is in the Premium plan and works on calendar-enabled themes such as Physio Premium.
Someone who's been recommended physiotherapy for back pain looks online first: which methods are used, how long a session lasts, how many times they need to come, who they'll work with. A physiotherapy website should answer these questions in plain language and keep the way to book clear.
We covered the general rules for clinic sites in what a clinic website should look like. This article focuses on what's specific to physiotherapy: method pages, the session process, physiotherapist profiles, booking for long programmes and tracking session packages.
Part 1 · Difference Why is a physiotherapy website different?
People usually see a dentist once or twice. In physiotherapy, they typically come several times a week for several weeks. That changes two things. First, the decision is for a long process, so people are more curious about the clinic and the therapist. Second, the booking isn't one slot but a series; if the schedule slips, the programme suffers.
Also, some people come to physiotherapy with a doctor's referral and some come directly. Stating clearly on the site when someone should see a doctor first, and what happens at the first assessment, both points visitors in the right direction and saves you unnecessary calls.
Part 2 · Pages Which pages should a physiotherapist's website have?
| Page | What it covers | Watch out |
|---|---|---|
| Home | Clinic name, methods offered, contact details and how to book | Phone and address on the first screen |
| Method pages | A separate page per method: what it is, who it's for, how a session goes | No promised results or prices |
| First assessment | What happens at the first visit, how long it takes, what to bring | No impression of diagnosis |
| Team | Physiotherapists' names, titles, education and areas of work | Titles exactly as on the certificate |
| Frequently asked questions | How many sessions, what to wear, home exercises, cancellation rule | Short and neutral |
| Contact and map | Address, phone, hours, parking and accessibility information | Same as the Google Business Profile |
| Legal pages | KVKK privacy notice (Türkiye's data protection law), cookie policy, patient rights | Linked in the footer |
Accessibility is often forgotten on physiotherapy sites. Information such as a lift, ramp, parking and distance to public transport directly affects the booking decision of someone with limited mobility. Add it to the contact page as a paragraph.
Part 3 · Content How do you write a method page?
Open a separate page for each method, such as manual therapy, clinical Pilates, kinesio taping and a personalised exercise programme. People often search by the method's name; a separate page helps both visitors and search. A good method page follows this order:
- What is the method? A plain two- or three-sentence definition, with terms explained.
- Who is it considered for? Which complaints it's used for, and when someone should see a doctor first.
- How does a session go? Duration, clothing, what happens in the session.
- How long does the programme last? A general range, with a note that the number of sessions varies from person to person.
- What happens at home? That exercises are part of the programme and need to be done regularly.
- Frequently asked. The two or three questions you hear most on the phone.
Part 4 · Rules What shouldn't go on a physiotherapy site?
Physiotherapy is a health service, and the rules for promoting health services apply. Informing is allowed; advertising aimed at creating demand is prohibited. These are the problem phrases seen most often on physiotherapy sites:
| Don't write | Why | Instead |
|---|---|---|
| "A definite cure without surgery", "permanent treatment" | Promised result | Explain how the method is applied |
| "Painless treatment", "guaranteed recovery" | Promised result and comfort | Write honestly about what may be felt in a session |
| "10 sessions 4,000 TL", "first session free", "campaign" | Price and incentive | A neutral prompt such as "Call for information" |
| Patient videos, "I can walk again" reviews | Using patient testimony for promotion | Don't use reviews for promotion |
| "Specialist physiotherapist" without a certificate | Misleading title | Write the title exactly as documented |
| "Let us diagnose your herniated disc" | Impression of diagnosis | "At the first assessment we talk through your movement and complaint history" |
When you edit a page in the Heyşirket panel, the Health advertising rules check on the SEO tab flags phrases such as "the best", "guaranteed", "painless", "specialist", "free", "campaign", "discount", "leader" and "100%" (checked in Turkish), prices written in TL and before-and-after patterns. It's a reminder; responsibility for the text's compliance is yours.
Part 5 · Team How do you prepare physiotherapist profiles?
Someone starting a long programme wants to know who they'll work with. Prepare a short profile for each physiotherapist: name, title, the department they graduated from, any master's or doctorate, certified training and areas of work. Write the title exactly as on the diploma or certificate.
In Heyşirket, Team profiles give each person a separate page; photo team cards appear on the home page, and personal pages can be found when someone searches the person's name. This feature is also available on the free Starter plan.
Part 6 · Booking Session series, booking and session packages
In physiotherapy, a booking isn't one slot but a programme. So think in terms of three levels, depending on your needs:
| Level | What it does | Heyşirket plan |
|---|---|---|
| Booking request | The visitor gets in touch via a contact or "request a call" form and you confirm the time by phone | Starter (free) |
| Online booking | The visitor chooses the service, date and time; the request lands in the panel and you confirm it | Professional |
| Appointment tracking system | Calendar with a column per therapist, recurring sessions, Attended and No-show marks, waitlist, optional reminders and WhatsApp confirmation | Premium, on calendar-enabled themes |
In the Premium plan's appointment tracking system, you choose Recurring appointment in the new appointment window: weekly or every two weeks, several days, a number of sessions or an end date. A session that falls on a holiday is skipped and added to the end of the series; "10 sessions" always stays 10 sessions, and the card shows a counter such as 4/10. Messages to patients are off by default and, when you turn them on, contain no treatment details. The system works on themes that support calendar-based online booking, such as Physio Premium. Step-by-step guide in the panel: Help › Appointment tracking system.
Pre-accounting is included in Professional and above. When you choose physiotherapist as your profession, screens say Client (Danışan) instead of "customer", and assessment session, physical therapy session, manual therapy, kinesio taping, clinical Pilates session and a 10-session package come as ready services. You sell a client a session package and deduct one session at each visit; the package is linked to an invoice and you get a reminder two sessions before it runs out. The screen warns you not to write diagnosis or treatment details in notes.
Part 7 · Setup How do you build a physiotherapy site in Heyşirket?
Step by step: a physiotherapy site
Open your company panel
On the start for free page, enter your clinic's name and choose Clinic and health as the site type. The Denge theme, in calm green tones with a methods and sessions list, was made for physiotherapy.
Fill in the business profile
Enter the name, title, address, phone and opening hours on the Business profile screen. When physiotherapy appears in the title or clinic name, the site's local business structured data is generated with the physiotherapy type.
Open method pages
On the Treatment pages screen, open a page for each method with a name, short description, detailed content and image. Sample texts come marked "ÖRNEK" (sample); replace all of them with your own.
Add the team
Prepare each physiotherapist's page with Team profiles.
Check before publishing
Make sure no warnings remain in the Health advertising rules check on each page's SEO tab, then open the site on a phone and send a test request.
Most physiotherapy searches are local: "physiotherapist near me", "clinical Pilates kadıköy". The name, address and phone on the site should match your Google Business Profile exactly; we explain opening a profile in how to create a Google Business Profile. The local SEO screen in the Professional plan checks whether this information is consistent across the site; details on the local SEO page. You manage the Google Business Profile yourself; the panel doesn't post to it automatically.
Don't ask for health information in forms. Forms on Heyşirket health sites remind visitors under the message box not to write health information. For privacy texts see KVKK-compliant website, and for what comes ready for this sector see Heyşirket for physiotherapists.
Can a physiotherapy website show session prices?
In promoting health services, prices, package prices, campaigns and discounts are considered demand-creating and are generally not published. Use a neutral prompt such as "call for information" instead; ask your professional association or lawyer about the rule for your type of facility.
Can I show patient reviews on the site?
Using patient reviews and thank-you messages to promote a health service is considered problematic. Don't feature reviews on the site, and when replying to reviews don't confirm that the person is your patient or mention their treatment.
Can a physiotherapist's site say "specialist"?
Only if there's a documented title, written exactly as on the document. Saying "specialist physiotherapist" or "expert in the field" without a certificate can count as a misleading title.
Is a physiotherapy site free in Heyşirket?
Yes. A physiotherapy site, the Denge theme, treatment pages, team profiles and contact forms are on the free Starter plan. Online booking with date and time selection and session package tracking are in Professional (699.99 TL/month, VAT included), and the appointment tracking system with session series is in Premium.
Can I schedule recurring sessions in one go?
Yes, in the appointment tracking system on the Premium plan. A weekly or fortnightly series is created in one go with a number of sessions or an end date; a session falling on a holiday is skipped and added to the end. The system works on themes that support calendar-based online booking.
Prepare your method pages Open an informative page for each method and review the text with the health advertising check on the SEO tab before publishing. Go to treatment pages
Step-by-step guide in the panel: Help › Service and treatment pages. For the whole booking module, see the online appointment system page.
