What should a veterinary clinic website look like? Pages, appointments and advertising rules

Pet owners often look up a vet clinic in a hurry. This article covers what must be visible straight away, how appointments are requested and what to watch out for when presenting your clinic.

In short

When a cat stops eating or a dog starts limping at night, the owner reaches for their phone. They search for a nearby clinic, check whether it is open and try to find the number. A good veterinary clinic website gives the right answer in those few seconds: where you are, when you are open and how to reach you.

On quieter days the site does a different job. An owner who wants a vaccination or check-up picks a day and time without a phone call. This article covers which pages a vet site needs, how to set up an online vet appointment form, what to avoid in promotion and how to open such a site in Heyşirket.

Part 1 · Purpose What is a veterinary clinic website for?

A vet site has two kinds of visitor. The first is in a hurry: their animal is ill and they need to know whether the clinic is open and how to call. The second is planning ahead: collecting information about vaccinations, neutering, check-ups or boarding. The site has to answer both.

So on the home page, order matters more than decoration. The phone number goes at the top, opening hours on the first screen and the address with a map. Services and vets can be one click away. We cover the general structure of clinic sites in what a clinic website should look like.

Part 2 · Pages Which pages should a vet website have?

Core pages of a veterinary clinic site
PageWhat goes on itWatch out
HomeClinic name, phone, opening hours, address, appointment buttonEmergency information on the first screen
ServicesExamination, vaccination, neutering, lab tests, surgery, boardingNo promised outcomes, describe what is done
VetsName, title, photo, faculty, areas of interestTitles exactly as on certificates
Care guideGeneral articles on vaccination schedules, parasite protection, nutritionDo not write as if diagnosing
FAQAppointments, payment, boarding rules, what to bring on a first visitShort and clear
ContactAddress, map, phone, WhatsApp, email, parkingNight and weekend arrangements stated clearly
KVKK privacy notice and cookie policyWhich data the form collects and why (KVKK is Türkiye's data protection law)Linked in the footer

Part 3 · Appointments How does an online vet appointment form work?

Most routine work runs on appointments: combination vaccines, rabies vaccination, internal and external parasite treatment, check-ups, neutering. Arranging times by phone tires both you and the owner. A vet appointment form on the site takes that load off.

The path of an appointment request from the site

  1. The owner picks a day and time

They enter their name, phone, the animal's species and a short reason for the visit, and mark a suitable day and time.

  2. The request lands in your company panel

It is listed on the Talepler (Requests) screen with the type Online randevu (Online appointment), and you get an email notification.

  3. You confirm

You check your calendar, call or message the owner and set the request status to Randevu verildi (Appointment given).

  4. Follow-up stays with you

Add an internal note, assign the request to a colleague if needed and set a reminder.

This form is a request form; the time is final once you confirm it. For emergencies, promote the phone, not the form. You can read how online booking works and which businesses it suits in online appointment system, and see Heyşirket's version on the appointment system page.

Part 4 · Rules What should you watch out for when promoting a vet clinic?

Veterinary medicine is a health profession, and promoting it is not a free advertising space. Professional rules call for measured, accurate language that does not stoke competition with colleagues. Like every business, clinics are also bound by the ban on misleading advertising. The most common mistakes in practice:

Don't write / write this instead
Don't writeWhyInstead
"The best vet clinic in town"Unprovable superiority claimDescribe your services in plain language
"Guaranteed treatment", "painless surgery"Promise of resultsExplain how the procedure is done and what to expect
"Specialist vet" (without a certificate)Titles must be backed by documentsWrite the title exactly as certified
Campaigns such as "vaccines discounted this month"Winning work through price can clash with professional rulesA neutral call such as "call for information"
Surgery and wound photosUpsetting for visitors and can read as promotionPhotos of the clinic and the team
Drug names and drug promotionPromotion of veterinary medicines follows separate rulesSay that treatment is decided after an examination

The content analysis in the company panel helps here. In a page's SEO analysis, phrases such as "en iyi" (the best), "garanti" (guarantee), "ağrısız" (painless), "uzman" (specialist) and "kampanya" (campaign) are flagged as regulatory warnings. When you see one, rewrite the sentence in neutral terms.

Part 5 · Form and data What should the appointment form ask?

Keep the form short. The owner's name, phone, the animal's species and name, a short reason for the visit and a suitable time are enough. Do not ask for a long medical history in the form; you will ask during the examination. The fewer fields, the more often the form gets filled in.

An animal's health information is not personal data, but the owner's name, phone and address are. So the form needs a link to the KVKK privacy notice below it. Heyşirket's setup wizard opens a template page for the KVKK privacy notice and cookie policy; once you fill in Genel ayarlar › Gizlilik › Yasal bilgiler (General settings › Privacy › Legal details), your clinic's name and contact details are written into the text automatically. Complete the template to match your own processes before publishing. For more, see the KVKK-compliant website page.

Part 6 · Setup How do you build a vet website in Heyşirket?

In Heyşirket every company has one company panel. The website is one module of that panel; the free Starter plan includes the site, a subdomain, one custom domain, a contact form, basic SEO and one email address on your domain.

A veterinary clinic site in five steps

  1. Open your company panel

Start for free and choose clinic as the site type. Clinic themes such as Nabız or Denge come with vet profiles, opening hours and an appointment section.

  2. Write services and hours

Add your services to the services page; put the opening hours and the emergency sentence on the home page.

  3. Introduce your vets

With Ekip profilleri (Team profiles), open a page for each vet with photo, title and education. This feature is also on the Starter plan.

  4. Turn on appointments

On the Professional plan, install online appointments from the Özellik mağazası (Feature store); the form is added to the home and contact pages.

  5. Connect your domain and email

Connect the clinic's domain and open an address such as appointments@ or info@. Details: business email.

Step-by-step guide in the panel: Help › Online appointment requests. To appear on the map, also open your Google Business Profile; we explain how in how to open a Google Business Profile. You manage the profile in Google's own screens, while the company panel checks that the name, address and phone on your site are consistent.

Part 7 · Running the clinic After the site: pet owners, invoices and pet food stock

In Professional and above, pre-accounting is included with no separate subscription. When you choose veterinarian as your profession, screens say Pet owner instead of "customer". Ready-made items such as examination, vaccination, neutering, lab test and daily boarding are added to your service list in one tap; you set the price.

Veterinary clinic website checklist

What should a veterinary clinic website include?

The home page should show the clinic name, phone, address and opening hours, plus services, vet profiles, FAQs, contact details and a KVKK privacy notice. Stating clearly what to do outside hours and in emergencies saves owners time.

How do online vet appointments work?

On the site's appointment form the owner enters their name, phone and the animal's species and picks a suitable day and time. In Heyşirket the request is listed in the company panel as an Online appointment; it becomes final when the clinic confirms the time. Online appointments are in the Professional plan.

Can a vet website show prices and campaigns?

Winning work through prices and campaigns can clash with professional rules and risks misleading advertising. The safe route is a neutral call such as "call for information". If unsure, ask your local chamber of veterinary surgeons.

Is a vet clinic website in Heyşirket paid?

The site, clinic themes, vet profiles, contact form, one domain and one email address are on the free Starter plan. Online appointments, customer reviews and pre-accounting are in the Professional plan: 699.99 TL/month or 6,999.90 TL/year, VAT included.
