What should an education centre website look like? A guide for courses, private tutoring and pre-registration
Before signing up, parents and students ask the same questions: what is taught, when it starts, what it costs and who teaches it. This article sets out a structure that answers them on the site and makes pre-registration easy.
In short
- An education centre website should give every course its own page: content, level, duration, start date, teacher and fee together.
- A pre-registration form sends you the interested person's name, phone and chosen course, so you answer the same questions by phone far less often.
- In Heyşirket courses, class schedules and events are in the Professional plan; the site, teacher profiles and contact form open on the free Starter plan.
- In pre-accounting, choosing education as your profession renames accounts to Student / parent, class packages are deducted per lesson and you get a reminder two lessons before a package runs out.
- The site has no video lessons, student login or exam module; course fees are not paid directly on the course page.
A parent is looking for a summer course for their child. An employee wants to learn English in the evenings. A student needs private tutoring before an exam. All three do the same thing: search online, look at a few providers' sites and contact whoever gives the clearest information. An education centre website wins this race with information.
This article is for course centres, language schools, art workshops and independent private tutors. We cover which pages a course website needs, how to write a good course page, how to take pre-registrations and how to keep a private tutor website simple. Finally we explain setup in Heyşirket and what is not there.
Part 1 · Purpose What is a course website for?
Decisions in education take time. Parents compare courses, look at schedules, ask about fees and sometimes think for weeks. During that time they come back to your site several times. If they find what they need each time, by the time they call they have largely made up their mind.
The site also takes work off your plate. Questions such as when a course starts, how many weeks it lasts and which level it suits come up on the phone every day. When the answers are clearly on the site, calls drop and the calls you get come with an intention to enrol.
Part 2 · Pages Which pages should an education centre website have?
| Page | What goes on it | Watch out |
|---|---|---|
| Home | Centre name, short intro, featured courses, pre-registration button | Contact and address on the first screen |
| Courses | Course list by category | A page for every course |
| Course page | Content, level, duration, number of lessons, start date, teacher, fee | Syllabus topic by topic |
| Class schedule | Weekly classes: day, time, teacher, room | Changes made the same day |
| Teachers | Name, photo, education, courses taught | Titles and certificates as issued |
| Events | Workshops, seminars, open lessons, mock exams | Date, venue and capacity |
| FAQ | Registration, payment, absence, make-up lessons, refunds | Short and clear |
| Contact and KVKK | Address, map, phone, privacy notice (KVKK is Türkiye's data protection law) | Extra care with children's data |
Part 3 · Course page How do you write a good course page?
The course page is the page that sells. After reading it, visitors should be able to answer "is this course right for me?". These details are enough:
- Course name and level: "Beginner English for adults (A1)" rather than "English".
- Who it is for: Age group and whether prior knowledge is needed.
- Duration and frequency: How many weeks, lessons per week, total number of lessons.
- Start date: When the next group starts.
- Syllabus: Topics one by one, each with a short description.
- Teacher: Who teaches it, with a link to the teacher's page.
- Fee and payment terms: Total or monthly fee, and instalment terms if any.
- Pre-registration form: A short form at the end of the page.
Part 4 · Pre-registration How does a pre-registration form work?
Pre-registration is not final enrolment; it is the interested person's way of reaching you. Keep the form short: name, phone, email, chosen course and an optional note. For children's courses you can ask the student's age, but don't ask for ID numbers or school reports at this stage.
The path of a pre-registration request
The visitor fills in the form
On the course page's pre-registration form they enter their name and phone and choose the course.
The request reaches the panel
It arrives on the Talepler (Requests) screen of your company panel with the course name, and you get an email notification.
You call
You call to clarify level and group; if needed you arrange a trial lesson for a placement check.
You update the status
You track the request with statuses such as enrolled, considering or unreachable, and set reminders.
For tracking requests regularly, see managing site requests and the forms and requests page. If you want trial lessons booked with a day and time, the appointment system does the job.
Part 5 · Private tutoring What should a private tutor website look like?
An independent private tutor does not need a big site. Four sections are enough: who you are and your education, which subjects and levels you teach, how lessons work (in person, online, length) and contact. An FAQ section explains fees, cancellations and make-up lessons.
Trust matters most on a private tutor website. A real photo, the school you graduated from, any certificates and a clear lesson routine reassure parents. This structure can be built on the free Starter plan; if you don't need course and schedule features, you don't need to upgrade. We cover the steps in how to build a free website.
Part 6 · Setup How do you build a course website in Heyşirket?
In Heyşirket every company has one company panel and the website is one of its modules. There are two ready-made education themes: Akademi for course centres, online education and tutoring centres comes with course cards, categories, teachers, events and pre-registration. Minik Adımlar for nurseries, preschools, children's workshops and language schools has programmes, a daily routine, teachers and a visit request form.
A course website in five steps
Open your company panel
Start for free and choose one of the education and course themes.
Add your teachers
With Ekip profilleri (Team profiles), open a page for each teacher with photo, title and courses taught. This feature is also on the Starter plan.
Enter your courses
On the Professional plan, install Kurslar (Courses) from the Özellik mağazası (Feature store). For each course fill in name, category, level, duration, number of lessons, teacher, fee, start date and syllabus.
Add schedule and events
Install Ders programı (Class schedule) for weekly lessons and Etkinlikler (Events) for workshops and seminars. If you don't give a registration link for an event, a registration form appears on its page; past events drop off the upcoming list automatically.
Add to the menu and home page
Put the course list on the home page and the Kurslar (Courses) link in the top menu.
Step-by-step guide in the panel: Help › Feature store. Everything that comes ready for education providers is on the Heyşirket for education and courses page.
Part 7 · Running the centre After the site: student accounts, class packages and payments
In Professional and above, pre-accounting is included with no separate subscription. When you choose education as your profession, screens say Student / parent instead of "customer". Ready-made items such as private lesson (hour), monthly course fee, registration fee and group lesson are added to your service list in one tap; you set the price.
- Class packages: You sell a student, say, a 10-lesson package, deduct one lesson per class and see what remains. You get a reminder two lessons before the package runs out.
- Invoices: You invoice the package or monthly fee. Whether it is an e-Fatura or an e-Arşiv invoice (Türkiye's two electronic invoice types) is chosen automatically from the recipient's status; this needs an e-document provider connection.
- Card payment: If you connect your own iyzico account, a Kartla öde (Pay by card) link is added to the invoice, the parent pays by card and the payment is recorded against the invoice. Details: what is a payment link and how to record a payment.
Course website checklist
- Every course has its own page with content, level, duration, start date, teacher and fee.
- The syllabus is listed topic by topic and it is clear who the course is for.
- The class schedule is current and changes are made the same day.
- Teachers' titles and certificates are written exactly as issued.
- No unprovable promises such as "guaranteed success".
- The pre-registration form is short and does not ask for ID numbers or school reports.
- Payment, absence, make-up and refund rules are clear in the FAQ.
- The KVKK privacy notice is linked below the forms.
What should an education centre website include?
A home page, a course list with a separate page for each course, a weekly class schedule, teachers, events, FAQs, contact details and a KVKK privacy notice. The course page should give content, level, duration, start date, teacher, fee and a pre-registration form.
How do you take course pre-registrations on the site?
You put a short pre-registration form on the course page. In Heyşirket the name, phone and chosen course of the person filling it in land on the Requests screen of the company panel and you get an email notification. You call them and then update the status.
Which plan is enough for a private tutor website?
A simple private tutor site with an introduction, subject information, FAQs and a contact form can be built on the free Starter plan. If you need course pages, class schedules, events and pre-accounting, you need the Professional plan: 699.99 TL/month or 6,999.90 TL/year, VAT included.
Can parents pay course fees online?
There is no payment on the course page. After you connect your own iyzico account, a Pay by card link is added to the invoices you issue; the parent pays by card through it and the payment is recorded against the invoice automatically.
How do I announce workshops and seminars on the site?
With Heyşirket's Events feature you enter the date, time, venue, fee and capacity for each event. If you don't give a registration or ticket link, a registration form appears on the event page; past events drop off the upcoming list automatically. This feature is in the Professional plan.
How are class packages tracked?
When you choose education as your profession in pre-accounting, the class packages screen opens. You add the package to the student's account, one lesson is deducted per class and the remaining lessons are shown. You get a reminder two lessons before the package runs out.
Add your first course Publish a course page with name, level, duration, fee and syllabus, and receive pre-registrations. Go to courses
If you don't have a site yet, you can start for free and compare plans on the pricing page.
