What should a hotel website look like? Room pages and a stay request form for boutique hotels and guesthouses

Guests often find a hotel on a booking platform, then search its name and look at the hotel's own website. This article shows how to build a site that gives them everything they look for on that visit.

In short

When planning a holiday, guests first browse booking platforms. Once they find a boutique hotel they like, they often take one more step: they search the hotel's name and look at its own site. That is where they look for real room photos, what breakfast is like and how many minutes it is to the sea. If there is no site, or it is outdated, trust drops.

This article covers what a hotel website should look like. First the pages, then how to write a room page, then how guests reach you directly. Finally, we explain how to build a guesthouse website or boutique hotel website in Heyşirket and state clearly what the system does not do.

Part 1 · Purpose What is a hotel website for?

Booking platforms bring guests, but they stand between you and the guest. Your own site is your hotel's shop window: it shows the rooms the way you describe them, with the photos you choose. Guests ask you directly and their requests come straight to you.

The site has three jobs: reassuring the guest who found you on a platform, informing the guest who heard about you by word of mouth, and giving past guests who want to return a direct way to reach you. In all three, people want the same thing: clear information and easy contact.

Part 2 · Pages Which pages should a boutique hotel or guesthouse site have?

Core pages of a hotel or guesthouse site
PageWhat goes on itWatch out
HomeHotel name, short intro, featured rooms, request formLocation and contact on the first screen
RoomsA page per room: photos, capacity, beds, amenities, priceReal photos, current prices
AmenitiesBreakfast, pool, parking, beach, pets, accessibilityDon't list what you don't have
LocationMap, distance to the airport and centre, how to get thereState walking times honestly
Rules and FAQCheck-in and check-out times, cancellation and deposit terms, child policyShort and clear
GalleryRooms, common areas, surroundingsSizes that load fast on phones
ContactPhone, WhatsApp, email, addressState when you reply
KVKK privacy notice and cookie policyWhich data forms collect and why (KVKK is Türkiye's data protection law)Linked in the footer

A small guesthouse does not need a separate page for every item on this list. Amenities, location and rules can also sit as sections on the home page. What matters is that guests find this information without searching. We cover the general structure of a business site in what a corporate website should look like.

Part 3 · Rooms How do you write a room page?

The room page is the most read page of a hotel site. Here the guest looks for the answer to "does this room suit us?". A good room page has:

  1. A clear name: "Sea-view double room" rather than "Room 3".
  2. Capacity and bed type: How many people it sleeps and how the beds are set up.
  3. Size: Square metres are among the first numbers guests compare.
  4. Amenities: Short tags such as air conditioning, balcony, breakfast included, mini fridge.
  5. Photos: Real photos taken in daylight showing the bed, the bathroom and the view.
  6. A price or "ask for a price": If you show a price, say clearly whether it is per night or per person and whether taxes are included.

You can describe packages alongside rooms in the same way. Example: "3 nights 4 days weekend with breakfast" or "honeymoon package for two". For a package the price unit is the package rather than the night, and the duration is stated separately. Guests see at a glance what they get, for how many nights and at what price.

One more word on photos: most guests visit your site on a phone. Very large photos slow the page down and guests leave before the gallery opens. Resize photos to a sensible size before uploading, and check how fast the page opens using the method in how to measure site speed.

Part 4 · Requests How do guests reach you directly?

The key to direct guests is an easy request form. The guest enters check-in and check-out dates, the number of adults and children and the room type they want. You check availability and reply with a price. Instead of hours of messages, the conversation starts with complete information.

The path of a stay request

  1. The guest fills in the form

Name, phone, check-in and check-out dates, number of adults and children, room type and an optional note.

  2. The request lands in your company panel

It appears on the Talepler (Requests) screen under the form's name, and you get an email notification.

  3. You check availability

You look at your own booking setup and reply to the guest with the price and deposit details.

  4. You update the status

You add a note, change the status and assign it to a colleague if needed.

To track incoming requests regularly, see managing site requests; for tools such as statuses and reminders, see the forms and requests page.

Part 5 · Trust Reviews and showing up in search

In hospitality, reviews drive decisions. Ask guests who stayed with you for a review and show the ones you approve on your site; in Heyşirket the review collection link and platform rating badges are in the Professional plan. We cover ways to ask guests for reviews in collecting customer reviews.

A Google Business Profile is essential to appear on the map and in "hotel" searches. You open and manage the profile in Google's own screens; how to do it is in how to open a Google Business Profile. It also matters that the name, address and phone on your site match the profile. If many of your guests are from abroad, an English or other language version of the site helps: multilingual website.

Part 6 · Setup How do you build a hotel website in Heyşirket?

In Heyşirket every company has one company panel and the website is one of its modules. For boutique hotels, guesthouses and holiday villages, the Liman theme comes with room cards, amenities, booking steps and guest quotes. For tour operators, the Rota theme comes with tour packages and day-by-day itineraries.

A hotel website in five steps

  1. Open your company panel

Start for free and choose Liman from the hotel and tourism themes. Sample rooms come with it; you replace them with your own.

  2. Install the rooms feature

On the Professional plan, install Odalar ve paketler (Rooms and packages) from the Özellik mağazası (Feature store).

  3. Enter your rooms

For each room fill in name, price, currency (TL, dollars or euros), price unit (per night, per person or per package), capacity, size, bed type, amenities and gallery.

  4. Add the request form

Put the request form section on the home page with the stay type. Your rooms are listed in the form automatically; a guest coming from a room page has that room preselected.

  5. Connect your domain and email

Connect the hotel's domain and open an address such as reservations@. Details: business email.

Step-by-step guide in the panel: Help › Feature store. Everything that comes ready for hotels and guesthouses is on the Heyşirket for hotels and guesthouses page.

Part 7 · Running the business After the site: invoices and card payments

In Professional and above, pre-accounting is included with no separate subscription. You issue the stay invoice and track the payment in the same place. Whether the invoice is an e-Fatura or an e-Arşiv invoice (Türkiye's two electronic invoice types) is chosen automatically from the recipient's status; this needs an e-document provider connection.

For a deposit or the stay amount, if you have connected your own iyzico account, a Kartla öde (Pay by card) link is added to the invoice. You send the link to the guest by email, WhatsApp or SMS; payment is made with 3-D Secure and recorded against the invoice automatically. The link only works for TL invoices. Details: what is a payment link.

Hotel website checklist

What should a hotel website include?

Separate pages for each room with photos, capacity, bed type, amenities and price; plus amenities, location, rules, gallery, contact and a KVKK privacy notice. A form where guests leave a request with dates and number of guests is the easiest way to win direct guests.

Can guests book online on my Heyşirket site?

The guest picks a room and leaves a stay request with check-in and check-out dates and the number of guests; this is not a confirmed booking. The site has no live availability calendar and no online payment; when you see the request you check availability and reply.

Do my rooms on booking platforms sync with the site?

No. Heyşirket has no connection to a channel manager or booking platforms. You update room details and prices on your site separately.

Which plan does a guesthouse website need?

The site, hotel themes, contact form, one domain and one email address are on the free Starter plan. Rooms and the stay request form are in the Professional plan: 699.99 TL/month or 6,999.90 TL/year, VAT included. The multilingual site is in the Premium plan.

How do I take a deposit?

If you issue the invoice in pre-accounting and have connected your own iyzico account, you send the Pay by card link to the guest by email, WhatsApp or SMS. Payment is made with 3-D Secure and recorded against the invoice automatically. The link only works for TL invoices.

Add your rooms Publish each room on its own page with photos, capacity, amenities and price. Go to rooms

If you don't have a site yet, you can start for free and compare plans on the pricing page.
