You can launch your website without buying a domain. A subdomain makes that possible, and when your business grows you can move to your own domain without losing anything.

- A subdomain is a name added in front of a main domain, like ornekklinik.heysirket.com.
- Every Heyşirket site is published for free at a <name>.heysirket.com address.
- Reserved names such as www, portal, panel, api, admin, mail, blog, destek and yardim can't be taken.
- When you connect your own domain later, your site stays exactly the same; only its address changes.

Part 1 What is a subdomain?
A domain is your site's address on the internet, like heysirket.com. A subdomain is created by adding another name in front of that address: ornekklinik.heysirket.com. To a browser, both are complete website addresses: visitors type it in, your site opens, and the connection is secured with SSL.

Part 2 How do you pick a good name?
The site name you choose on the sign-up page becomes your subdomain. It will be printed on business cards and typed into WhatsApp messages, so it should be short and impossible to misread.
When choosing a name
- Use only lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens; write c, s, g, i, o, u instead of Turkish characters (ç, ş, ğ, ı, ö, ü)
- Use your brand or business name; don't use another brand's name
- Add your trade or city if needed: mavikafe-izmir
- Say it out loud: can someone spell it correctly when you tell them over the phone?
Part 3 Does a subdomain show up on Google?

Get a domain
Register one with a provider such as Natro, İsimtescil, GoDaddy or Turhost, or use a domain you already own. Domain sales through Heyşirket are coming soon.
Add it in the panel
Settings › Domains › Add domain. Type the domain without www; www is connected automatically too.
Enter the DNS records
Add the CNAME and TXT records shown in the panel to your registrar's DNS panel, then click Refresh status.
Announce your address
Once the status shows Active, your site opens at the new address with SSL. Update the links on your business cards, Google Business Profile and social media.
Do I pay for a subdomain?
No. The name.heysirket.com address is free on every site.
Can I change my subdomain later?
The easiest way is to connect your own domain; your site content stays exactly as it is and the new address is added.
What happens to the subdomain once I connect my own domain?
Your site is published on your own domain; from then on, just share your own domain.
